We really enjoyed this trip, that we have been waiting for so long. Our favourite moment was when we were in London. We tried to visit the city as much as possible. We loved seeing the guards at Buckingham palace, eating traditional food in Chinatown, enjoying a show in Piccadilly circus and of course seeing the famous Big Ben. Discovering a new culture, a new way of living (with for instance the lunch time which is very early), was a great experience that we are grateful to have lived it.
The trip was great, I really enjoyed the many activities we were able to do during this week. The bus trip was quite long but we found plenty of activities to keep us from getting bored. The museum visits were interesting and we learned a lots of things. What I liked best was discovering Cambridge, which is a very beautiful city with many beautiful monuments. I loved the trip and had a good time with my friends despite a rather unusual host family.
In April 2024, the euro section class went to the United Kingdom. During this trip we did several activities, with several themes. We discovered many things related to sciences in the UK when we went to museums in London and to Bletchley Park. But what I liked the most was when we did concrete activities, indeed we had free time to visit Cambridge and London. Being able to wander in these cities was really charming and we discovered another culture. My personal favourite activity was cricket because it was very funny and recreational. Being in a family was a very good way of being immersed in the culture.
This trip was a great experience. I enjoyed visiting London and Cambridge because these cities are totally different from what we can see in France and we were allowed to explore by ourselves. It is always a good thing to travel and discover other countries because it opens your mind. Moreover since we were in a host family, we were impregnated with the culture.
During the trip, I really enjoyed travelling with my friends and visiting cities and monuments. My host family was really nice to me, it was a young woman who was a medicine student. The wide range of activities allowed me to have a varied experience even if the time we had was quite short. I particularly enjoyed cricket and the visit of Cambridge and London. The atmosphere was friendly and I saw some other sides of my classmates’ personality, which was quite funny, probably due to exhaustion.
I absolutely loved this euro section trip! First of all because it has been 3 years that we had been waiting for it but also because the team (students and teachers) was amazing. Everything was great and interesting except for the bus journey which was very very long. My host was so kind and I learned a lot from talking with her. All the activities were enriching but the morning in London is my favorite one I think. I am so thankful for the opportunity that I had to learn this different culture and way of living. This trip was really amazing!
This trip to London was honestly a great experience! We had the chance to explore many amazing places, like London, Cambridge, Bletchley Park... Also, the fact that we were in a host family was particularly fulfilling and allowed us to practise English and learn new things in a fun way. It was a wonderful opportunity and we are very grateful.
The Euro trip was enlightening, we did many activities during the week. We visited museums and historical places. Bletchley Park held a special meaning because we were able to use the new knowledge in our classes. The scientific aspect of the trip related to our subject of section was good and it held a more direct approach to our usual studies. We really enjoyed this trip, it was a good end to our three years in the euro section. We are thankful for this opportunity.
This trip to London was a wonderful experience. The trip by bus was so long, almost 20 hours and we couldn’t sleep, but still, it was funny. We had so much fun and the opportunity to go to London for the first time. We did lots of activities: we visited museums, did punting in Cambridge and learned how to play cricket. Even the teachers played with us! We had a lot of free time which allowed us to go shopping and have a good time with our friends (in a café or pub, for example).
The host family was so lovely, they took care of us and it was like if we were really part of the family. For instance, they bought us “chocolatines” and “croissants” to make us feel at home and they brought us to a pub for dinner and we ate fish and chips: it was SO good. They also gave us their phone number so that we could stay in touch and see each other again.
Something quite important that we’d like to say is that the food in England is really good, we promise.
These memories are incredible and we would love to do it again. By staying together and actually living all together for about one week, we made new friends and new relationships were created.
We are so thankful to the teachers who organized this trip: they are INCREDIBLE!!!
